Bolter... Leckie has impressed greatly in his 20 A-League games to date
Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek has selected an extended squad of 25 players for the AFC Asian Cup 2011 qualifier against Indonesia at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on March 3.
Nine A-League clubs are represented, with the addition of four overseas-based players: Josh Kennedy (Nagoya Grampus, Japan), Mark Milligan (JEF United, Japan), Jade North (Incheon United FC, Korea Republic) and Luke Wilkshire (FK Dinamo Moscow, Russia).
Leckie's call-up caps a memorable season for the 19-year-old, who made his A-League debut for Adelaide and starred in his 20 games for the club. He'll be joined in the green and gold by fellow national team rookies Michael Marrone, Luke DeVere and Daniel McBreen.
Sydney FC goalkeeper Clint Bolton makes his return to the Socceroos squad for the first time since 2006 along with Wellington Phoenix defender Jon McKain, who last played for the senior Australian national team in the Asian Cup 2007 qualifier against Kuwait in 2006.
Also returning to the Socceroos fold are Shannon Cole, Andrew Durante, Ben Kantarovski, Stuart Musialik, David Williams and Michael Zullo.
Perth Glory players Jacob Burns and Mile Sterjovski will be added to the Socceroos squad should they successfully get through their A-League Semi-Final against Wellington Phoenix on Sunday.
The Socceroos drew 0-0 with Indonesia the last time they clashed, in the opening match of the AFC Asian qualifiers in Jakarta in January last year.
The Socceroos are second in Group B behind Kuwait on goal difference, and will need a draw or a win against Indonesia to qualify for the finals next year.
In the other Group B match, Oman host Kuwait in Muscat.
