Why Auckland though?
EXCLUSIVE: David Beckham And LA Galaxy will play a friendly in Auckland this December - and a game on Aussy soil has not been ruled out
Sources in LA tell au.fourfourtwo.com that LA Galaxy will play an Oceania XI on December 6 in Auckland.
FIFA match agent working on LA Galaxys behalf Lou Sticca told au.fourfourtwo.com he was working on a tour but was not yet in a position to divulge any further dates, cities or opponents.
The most likely venue would be Auckland's North Harbour stadium however it's unknown if any Australian players would be asked to play for the Oceania side.
Beckham's MLS club LA Galaxy finish their season in November (if they make the playoffs) with the MLS final on November 23. England also plays Germany in a friendly on November 19.
Last November's tour by LA Galaxy of Australia and New Zealand was a massive success with the Sydney match pulling over 82,000 fans to ANZ stadium in a 5-3 win for Sydney FC.
Over 30,000 supporters then turned up to see Galaxy defeat Wellington Phoenix a few days later at Westpac stadium.

That was around three months ago, thought it had died.
Seems like the plans are different if there is any fact in that (an agent is involved so I'm sceptical) but the original plan was to be at Mt. Smart with the Auckland Regional Council involved. If it's at NHS it won't be the ARC I imagine.

Yawn. Been there, seen that. The draw of Beckham isn't really enough considering we saw him last year.
