I was having the same discussion with someone today that I think he's been harshly dealt with.

How's my driving? - Whine here

...I will also point out that I haven't gone back and dug up all my posts stating North is no McKain.

or the ones where you call Mac a donkey?

Harshly treated is fair. Pavlovich brings energy off the bench, but lacks experience and being clinical in front of goal! Give the man a chance huh!!! Here's hoping he gets some game time with the reserves and from there can prove his worth.

Great call on North too, if Lochy was fit i'd want North benched and Siggy starting CB.

Was saying the exact same thing in a email yesterday... Where the hell has Mac gone? Bring him back!

I want to See the big guy deliver as well, he certainly brings something else, though he only scored in the pre season which means sfa, though I dont see how he is ages ahead of toto when they both have had limited chances. But as far as Siggy > North. I disagree there.

I didn't see anything from him that's made me think that he's anything other than a donkey. The fact that, when he did play, we changed our style to aimlessly launching the ball towards him at every opportunity doesn't inspire me much either.

That being said, he's got more experience than Pav and is probably a better finisher. I'd stick him on the bench to give us another option.Jag2010-10-23 13:04:18

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I didn't rate him much for the first match vs GCU but when he got subbed off and Greenie was left up front by himself I realised that in himself he was nothing special but allowed Greenie to play his preferred game.

There were some other subs that were a bit strange but I think we were 3-0 up when Big Mac went off.

He also played in the 2-0 win over CCM but I can't recall him doing much there either.

Worth another go - we don't have many options up front really.

I agree that Big Mac still has a lot to offer the team - as long as we don't revert to hoof and hope football when he comes on, as is so often the case. I do like Pav though. I think Ricki needs to better use the players he has sometimes, as his subs sometimes seem aimless.

If we had Jeremy Brockie, then Big Mac would awesome, but the fact is none of our midfielders can put in a decent cross.

If this was a status update I would "like" this. Sums it up greatly.
