Very interesting article and will be interesting to see if there is any follow up.

One of the most frustrating things with Billy Harris, he occasionally gets it right (or wrong) but each week is entirely disconnected from what went on before.  He needs to acknowledge what he's written about previously and then address that

The figures that he is talking about are serious, $500 - 600k per club.  Obviously good for the game to have that money coming in but again trust money is completely unaccountable...

I agree JD. Requires further investigation if those numbers are right.

I think you're right.  I'm also fairly sure that gaming machine trusts would be breaking the rules funding business class flights for any cause, so unlikely that's the source of the money.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

FIFA pay for the final leg of the travel to a Finals tournament.

When the cherubs went to China for the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup Finals, they had their pre-Finals preparations in Holland, so NZF had to fork out for the European leg. FIFA paid for the Holland to China leg.

Waitakere would have paid their own way to China for their pre-tournament preps, and FIFA would have picked up the tab for the China - Japan leg.

Cheers,
