Its funny, you'd think Queensland Roar (Dutch background) would be
the ones chasing Cocu, while Sydney, who have typically been more
interested in players and coaches from British leagues would be the
ones after Cole!
I personally think that Cocu would be a great signing, if
played in a similar position to Yorke, and not too defensive. Cole
could be a hit if he scores lots of goals and the Roar is doing
well, or he could get injued and flop.
For both I think 1 year or guest stints would be best.
Perth seem to be the only other club after a high profile
marquee, so good luck to them with getting someone good.

Cocu has just captained his club in the Champions League quarters
so aside from the obvious issue of whether he'd want to come, he
would be fantastic for the league. I think you're right
though tintin, at 36 you'd really want it to be a season by season
deal at the most.
I'm always dubious though with these reports. Are people
linked because the club has actually discussed it with the player
involved, or have the board just decided they might approach that
player and then thats a story? Or is it because they are old
and going off contract, haha
