Rattue labels the Phoenix the 'Flop of the Year'. Lazy from a guy who should do so much better. Usually enjoy his writing. And he's far from the worst on football.

'Nix had one of their best season's last year and are in the middle of a very even league this year. Rattue's verdict "can't even be bothered looking where they finished'. After disseminating no accurate or helpful information about the Phoenix, then blames them for not challenging rugby, when this is the best that a marginally football literate scribe can do, let alone the OE rugby types.

Thanks for nothing mate!

Nobody from any sport takes him seriously, he only has a job because he is one of the best clickbait merchants around.

That's right, he is a pure sensationalist and writes according to a headline rather than any heartfelt view on any matter. Not unusual for hi to change his tune if a better hedline presents itself that is at odds with his previously stated view.

Oh well at least replied to me.

Seemed to be genuinely frustrated by football's year and the inability of either league or football to get a bit of a roll on, in the face of rugby omnipresence.

He's got a point with the U-23 carry saga.

Didn't bother reading the article after he said he didn't even look to see where the Nix finished up last season - If he can't be fudgeed putting some effort into his job (!) why should I bother reading it.

If he even bothered doing even a little bit of research, he could have also mentioned something along the lines of expansion of the ASB prem from 2016/17, and the moving out of the stone age to get live television coverage of our domestic league for the first time since it's inception. Certainly doesn't cover over some of the disappointments that have occurred this year but it's hardly an objective write up on football is it?

That is terrible.  Yea the Warriors fell flat (again) but that's hardly a flop for them, they do it more often than not.

But the Nix made the quarters or the semis.  hold on ill do a quick google, and we got knocked out in the semi's.  Hey I did more research in 15 seconds than Chris Rattue for the piece he is paid for.
