Great time to play a game - when everyone is out playing their Saturday footy themselves.

Just got back to Suva from the game. Guess who wore his Sydney FC gear there and yelled B-A, BA! with the rest of the Indians

And boy, the travelling "army" was in full voice... I think I saw a frog wearing vaguely the same colours.

The only support Waitakere had were the Nadi and Lautoka supporters who hate Ba.

What a pathetic joke Oceania is without Australia.

Waitakere will qualify though, unfortunately. But they've got buckleys of getting past Urawa (or whoever) and actually making the CWC.

Cool - attracting supporters from Europe too!  Though non-Xenophobes call them 'The French'

What are you talking about ya twat? A-league clubs brought sh*t all to NZ when they played us, with the eceptiong of 5 Melbourne fans and 1 ginga perth fan.

Waitakere dont have many fans anyway, Im not sure if some of the Auckland boys would have gone?

But no Aucklanders turned up to Knights games either so that cancels out your argument. And if there were any travelling fans they remained VERY quiet and VERY well hidden. Govind Park is a small ground. I think I was the only white guy in the crowd.

Hear hear. It's only a matter of time before it officially gets combined with Asia. That has already started with the qualification for the next world cup.

I went over to Auckland in V2 and there were quite a few travelling fans thank you.

Yes, thats why I said with the exception of 5 melbourne fans.

The fact that no aucklanders turned up has nothing to do with it.

Plus, Waitak didnt have many fans at the NZFC final so I doubt any went to Fiji!

Waitak fans seen to be a strange bunch - make no noise what so ever - I was at the NZFC final and the only time they made any noise was when they scored their first goal and then it was polite cricket applause.

There were about 90 according to the guys I was speaking with.

Reminds me of the Uni-Mount vs Melville Chatham Cup final.  A sea of red and noise from the Melville fans... and a quiet round of applause from the Uni-Mount fans.

Double check that Gings.

The signing of Daniel was up when I checked first thing this morning.

It automatically cycles through the news items so maybe you just got to it while it was showing the older ones.

The A-League has the four names from Saturday as the first news item.

ooooooops, my bad...i humbly apologise to the folks incharge of the WPFC site, they do a top quality job...it would still be nice if there was a "Players" section (unless im asleep and missing it)

the A-League still needs to update the "who's gone where" bit though...

Wellington Phoenix FC

Gains: Ross Aloisi (Adelaide United), Tim Brown (Newcastle Jets), Michael Ferrante (Melbourne Victory), Richard Johnson (NZ Knights), Mark Paston (NZ Knights)

The other clubs all have other menu options including the little diagram with player profiles.  I suspect the Phoenix one will wait until they complete the V3 re-branding and launch (although hopefully not, as if I know the FFA, that will be two months away !).

Awesome, if badly edited, spot on Costa tonight (8 May) on TV1 News - who from FEVER has put the rocks up these boys?

Showed the Greeks v Stop Out game a bit and Costa's warming the keeper up - pity about the awful dialogue and commentary - but there's only one thing worse than people talking about you, and that's people not talking about you (C.f. Mr. O Wilde)

It's a start...

No football on 3News last night except Charlton. Am I the only one who would rather see football items from this part of the world than the demise of Charlton Athletic? They could have reported the signing of Daniel (admittedly old news) or profiled some of the other possible signings. It's just a bit lazy to take a pre-produced package from Britain instead. Where's the buzz! I'm worried that the buzz is confined to this forum, and that the networks aren't interested. ... Sorry about the rant - it is early days after all...

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

I specifically changed over to TV3 this week to see if things would be better there. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like they are. Thank Sky for their EPL highlights package. ..

The Crowd goes wild (Prime TV) could be a source of media support, they cover a wide range of sports. Someone give Mulligan and Richardson a call and beg them to be the football news people in the nation, coz 1 news & 3 news are doing F*** all
