The Dom Post article about Ifill and Greenacre(front page of YF) suggests that Greenacre got an offer from the Gold Coast and then met with Tony and signed with us. Does anyone know about this, is this a typo, did we nick him from Gold Coast or did they not want him in the end?

The paragraph reads...
"He was standing alongside an Australian team-mate whom he didn't want to name as he opened a letter from an agent offering him a deal with the new Gold Coast club."
I think it means his team-mate got an offer from Gold Coast.

I think it means his team-mate got an offer from Gold Coast.
Thats what I thought. That his teammate had an offer from Gold Coast and he was asked by the agent if he like to have the same thing happen to him and so the word got around.
I was confused at first myself but came to the same conclusion as LF1. Really bad bit of writing, isn't?
