wow - that article was ridiculous.
They are basing there entire pridictions on the fact its our
first season and that the NZ knights were a shambles. It forgets to
mention the fact that the Knights pulled it together at the end of
the season under Ricki.
I also think the fact we won against two "powerhouses"
in the pre-season means alot more than zero. Its not like everyone
suddenly discovers there form as soon as the pre-season ends.
That article sounded like a NZ rugby commentator at an
allbacks game.

Actually, I thought the summary was pretty fair. Pre-season results
are meaningless in any league. Though I definitely took some
optimism from ours, the adrenalin and sense of urgency in a
pre-season game does not match the intensity of a proper match. I
don't think that has anything to do with form; it's just the way
pre-season matches go with any league.
At this stage of proceedings, I think it's fine for us to be
favourites to finish 8th. From what I've seen of us so far, I don't
think that's going to happen but I can't begrudge anyone making
that prediction.
