I might not have been as harsh as this a month ago but good riddance.

Just read the link. Unbelievable lack of remorse or accountability from the man who was supposed to be leading NZF and left it needing a $1.5m loan from Kiwibank just to survive. Literally thousands of hard-working football people (some paid, but the vast majority volunteers) will now spend years picking up the pieces from this.

Is it really that hard to just say "sorry, I got it wrong"?

"Various sections of the press are always quick to criticise sporting bodies [witness recent tirades against the NZRU and NZRL] but are conveniently blind to reporting good news and extraordinary progress," he said. "At the same time so-called supporters of our game seem to enjoy deriding everything from the administration of the game to the quality of coaching and playing standard, most often from a standpoint of ignorance."
I thought at first this was a Mugabe quote misplaced in the Herald's sport's pages.
What an arrogant self righteous twat.
Completely out of touch with grass root and local club football which is hardly surprising when never mixing with the 'chattering classes'.
