Killen signs for Celtic!!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Can't see anything yet on Celtic, Cardiff, ESPN, BBC Scotland, or Sky Sports sites. . . . Have TVNZ done a first and got a fresh story? phil_style2007-05-31 13:01:47

That is brilliant for NZ football. Killen and Nelsen playing top football. Hopefully more Kiwi's follow in their footsteps. Who are Celtics other strikers? I think Andy Hartstone (or something like that) is one of them, I think he's Welsh.

Have a look at McGlinchey's profile.  He's a kiwi!  (well at least he was born here)

current celtic strikers plus scott macdonald so killen would be 5-8th choice. and scott brown whos joining is ex hibs is a forward/mid

ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

he's copped a lot of criticism from supporters over here on the BBC message boards ESPECIALLY the celtic ones who see him as a poor signing

not really,  most i've read seem to be glad he's signed, he signed for" free" on Bosman.
There's more Cardiff fans miffed about it, more than Celtic fans unhappy about it.
and with   Jan Vennegoor of  Hesselink handing in a transfer requested (rumoured to be heading to  Wigan) some Celtic fans see it as a win win for the club,  Killen may even end up starting up front in the champions league.  giddyup2007-06-01 07:25:53

I'm really excited about Killy's move. To be playing in front of 60,000 hard core Weggies at Parkhead every second week will be amazing for him. He has shown that he can score goals in the SPL for a midtable team like Hibs, so I have no doubt he will do the same for the Hoops.

If he does well then this could really make people in NZ turn their heads towards football. There would be nothing better than having one of our boys banging goals in against some of the best club sides in Europe.

Heres a link to this mornings interview (well worth a listen):

good news for him for the cash

Could be something big but hes gonna hve to work.. with 6 players a head of him it will be tough but i hope he does a big thing for us celtic. He might be the consistent guy we need to get us goals

ooooooh, oooooh, oooooh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I"m getting all excited - especially about the world cup qualifiers. If Killy gets starts (he has a history of being underrated then coming through), bangs in  goals (especially in Europe) and stays injury free .......... wooohooo!!!!!! I'm off to church!!!!!!!

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

He left a bit of a sour taste in Ridsdales mouth. Can`t blame him though. Who would most players rather play for Cardiff or Celtic. As Chris said a no brainer. Maybe that`s what Ridsdale lacks?

He has gone down in my estimations. He agreed personal terms with Cardiff, then went down for the medical. He spoke to the local rag, and as much as said it's a done deal.

Then he craps on them and signs for Celtic, imagine what would have happened if it was the other way round, the club pulls the contract out from under his nose, if that had happened, there would have been hell to pay.

That's what happens when managers offer fellatio instead of cash to try & get a player to sign!
