Australia and New Zealand should join forces and make a concentrated effort to set up an annual clash in honour of the ANZAC alliance.

Read about it here.

It will never work. We don't play games in this part of the world unless we are forced to by it being a World Cup qualifier. Fact.

I wish and I know a yearly title is extremely unlikely but surely at least every two or three years we should be playing each other. It would attract a much larger crowd for a friendly than usual in Australia (assuming we'll never play a friendly in NZ) so I think it should be done.

Australia already get good crowds to Socceroos games. From there perspective there's no benefit from playing us - better to face teams of the style and calibre that they'll be playing in Asia. Not exactly cheap for them to ship both teams to Australia.

NZF would have to foot the bill on this one, and nab a major sponsor on the way. I guess we are better off when other nations FA pay the bills for sending our NT abroad to play friendleys.

I think playing Australia in NZ that NZF could break even but who knows. Bring on New Caledonia and Fiji...................

From Australia's point of view, this is like asking the All Blacks to play a test every year against Turkey in rembrance of ANZAC day

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

But imagine if it was in Turkey. All those Airport disabled toilets to fornicate in before they get there...

I struggled to actually go to the toilet in a Turkish bathroom, let alone fornicate in one....

Jealousy is a bitter pill

Don't piss off old people - the older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent

Where exactly is the jealousy here?

Three for me, and two for them.

Probably more like asking Scotland to play a match for the battle of Bannockburn. I don't think we are quite as bad as Turkey would be at Rugby!

Endorsed by mistake! The top 50 nations would all pull larger crowds for a friendly here in Australia rather than the AWs. Most Kiwis in Oz are rugby or league fans not the football ilk. Plus Sydney and Melbourne now have sizeable immigrant groups of nearly all nationalities who always come out in droves if their home nation football team is in town.

Socceroos don't want to play AWs unless they have to
