little policy
Now we have 4 sister cities and as Mayor I would like to make

As a scene setter. During the summer I watched the cleaner at
the Pigeon Park fending off group of "street kids". I did go
to his aid. When I contacted the council I had to press
and press before I got what I thought was even a reasonable reply.
When he, the cleaner, noticed the problem STARTING he had rung
the council and asked for some assistance, NONE came. When I pushed
the point I was told by one council officer that "he should have
rung his employer". That is, the cleaning company he worked
for.
What process/processes would you put in place to make parts of
town more secure? How would your council make the roles of people,
like this cleaner, more secure?
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

In all seriousness lads, John Mcgrath would be fantastic Mayor. Although our city is well known for fantastic Bars, Restaurants and Cafes can you imagine what someone with Johns initiative would do . Wellington has the potential to be one of the top cities in the world. Look at what Terry has done. Do you think some old codger would go out on a limb like he has. I think John Mcgrath is in that mould and with his background and business nose he would kick ass.
Lets all vote for him!!! (John, we need consent for some outdoor seats for the fever lounge, I'll be in touch when you win)
