I think this question has been asked before, but does anyone have a list of Journos emails from TVNZ, TV1, TV3, radio New Zealand, Fairfax publications and NZherald.
I have seen the usual BS contact forms on the web, but does anyone have actual email address.
Judging by what was on TV tonight, my fears are coming true.
Lack of coverage before the math, bringing up stories about Lomu, anything to take away from the football.
Couldn't believe what I saw in town today, in cathedral square, they had a big countdown clock that said
"96 weeks to the world cup"
The NZRFU is doing its best to take away attention from the football.
Perhaps I should also email the Christchurch city council and ask if they are putting a big screen or something in the square for the game.

are you from chch? There was a big thing about the rugby world cup down here a couple of months ago and putting the countdown clock in the square was one of the publicity events that took place (along with rugby related re-development plans for the central city).
I can assure you the countdown clock is not an attempt to take attention away from football.
i think it is excessive to have the clock counting down for so long, but thats rugby for you. excessively boring.

Try and go through the major sponsors of the various media outlets as well, that hurts their bottom line more than anything.

Oh dear. Are you still on this? Please, please, please give me a single shred of evidence to back this up.

Brett, you need to understand the difference between the NZRFU promoting itself and its product and trying to draw attention away from another. The NZRFU has never tried to detract from football.
Also, you're theory that the media is trying to take attention away from the All Whites is quite simply moronic. They have no reason too, in fact, most (if not all) are talking about football more than usual because more people than usual are interested in it... If the media outlets are trying to gain new listens/viewers/readers (and they are) then why on earth would they specifically detract from or ignore an event people want to hear about?
Also, what do you expect them to be reporting about? Tomorrow Canterbury is going to beat Wellington to win the ANZC and on Sunday morning The All Blacks play. The All Whites play in 8 days and to be honest from what I saw on TV3 the reporting was very good.Mr_Incredible2009-11-06 20:09:21

Perhaps Im wearing a tinfoil hat???
I dont mind the media concerting on rugby Union when there is a big match or story.
But i stand by my crackpot theroy, that the media in the week leading up to Bahrian game, will just come up with stories on Union for the sake of it, and the NZRFU has a hand in this.
I have seen it before.
Just wai,t this week in the fairfax papers and on TVNZ threy will not onlyall over the union test (like they would normally) but it will be wall to wall Lomu and other quirky wee union stories.

Palm-->face.
Newsflash Brett. But both TV1 and TV3 have at least one rugby story, quiet often about nothing, every night regardless whether there is football on.

And the All Blacks playing is newsworthy no matter what else is going on.

Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight
