Players of interest...
Fred's on the equivalent of $NZ 500K with DC United
Duncan Oughton on the equivalent of about $NZ 160K with Columbus Crew
Andy Boyens around $NZ 100K with New York
Jarrod Smith about $NZ 76K with Seattle

That is interesting.
Jarrod Smith makes NZ $75k and Boyens makes NZ $100k.
You can't tell me that they are not worth a look for the Phoenix and bring them home, especially at that price. They would certainly be worthy it.

Quite amazing that they publish the list too. Must make for some interesting conversations between fans (and players) about their "worth" vs their paypacket....

My mate in Toronto suggested we take a look at Jarrod Smith, but mostly because he's apparently not up to MLS level...
Have to wait and see how he does with the Sounders this year.

What's your source? I'm pretty sure the official players union, who are required to keep financial records of their players as part of their function, would have a pretty good idea of what players aren't and are getting paid

Do agree with you though in that I'd love to see some more MLS games - if only for Toronto FC (But I might watch a few DCU games for Fred)

Did you miss the link at the top of the page that says 'Players Salaries' ???

Did you miss the bit where he was saying the link was wrong?
I doubt someone saying "The figures in List X are wrong" would use List X as his source for the correct figures. What I was asking for was his List Y.

Also, you missed that I was referring to the very same link in the same paragraph of the sentance you highlighted...

the only reason i'd like to see more MLS is too watch the current NZ players in that league. Always more interesting when theres a kiwi involved

As you were. Read it entirely differently than you wrote it.
Interpretation issues, apologies

I assume what was meant was "players don't get paid very much over there"

Hi guys. I have just moved back to NZ. Does the MLS get shown on SKY?
I am dead keen to see the Sounders 1st game against the Red Bulls but there is no listing in the Skywatch.

I've got MLS Match Center. Apparently it works on Macs too. However...
Global Blackout: Nationally televised games on ESPN, ESPN2, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports en Espaol and TeleFutura will be blacked out worldwide.
Might as well add "This also goes for countries that don't have ESPN2, FSC, FSeE and TF"
I'd be watching the Sounders right now if it weren't on ESPN2. Ah well, lucky TFC won't be on those channels.
