Hope Wenger does not get the job.

"Former Netherlands international Frans Thijssen is likely to replace Mulvey until the end of the season."

Along with Arnold Muhren they formed a formiddabble midfield for Ipswich town as HN might be able to testify. I certainly can remember them. Murhen had wonderful left foot skills.

Thijssen - 1979 - 1983, 170 games, 16 goals

Muhren - 1978 - 1982, 214 games 29 goals

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Two things

1: How much was Berisha worth to them (and to any side really)

2: I never thought Mulvey was a good coach, more a lucky coach that found himself in a good situation that made him look good.

Maybe so, but sacking him 6 games in seems a bit harsh.

Three for me, and two for them.

Its only harsh if you feel that that he is getting the best from what he has. If they expect better, then no, its not harsh. That leads me back to point 1.

6 games is a rather limited sample size to tell whether he is getting the best out of them though.

It is still not confirmed.

2. So winning two years in a row is lucky. Bullshit.

So you are telling me that the two titles won was more to do with his coaching than the talent Brisbane had on their roster? Fuck off Leggy. You do not honestly believe this cause if this were true, he would be getting more than what he has out of what he has on the roster. To support this, the roster is not that disimilar from last year sans Berisha. Wonder if thats related.

A few Roar fans are suggesting there is more to it, that the club has been looking for a replacement for awhile and the losing streak just makes it easier. Whether this is true I'm not sure but it does look like he has lost the dressing room and that never ends well for a coach.

I admit he is not my favourite  coach, and  he may have been lucky in the first year with what he was left with but you can't tell me that you can be that lucky two years in a row.

Your argument about the roster does not stack up as no team on this planet relies on one player, even Berisha.
