(just a last minute news for those who maybe interested or know someone who should be applying, this may involved in consulting in developing quality training facilities around the country using FIFA and OFC programs to aid grassroots development and possibility of the available use for international teams prior to World Cup finals in Australia with public access for children in some of their training)

Director of Football Development

December 28, 2008

New Zealand Football is looking to build on our base as the most popular game for young New Zealanders, and now seeks to appoint a Director of Football Development to assist in aiding further grassroots development of the sport throughout New Zealand.

The role will include developing new programs for grassroots activity, as well as implementing some of the internationally developed programs from FIFA and the Oceania Football Confederation. The role also includes overseeing our existing Regional Coaching Development staff, and will work with coaching staff within all of the seven federations within New Zealand Football.

Obviously this role will best suit a person previously involved in the sport, with a background that includes elements of both player and coaching education, as well as possession of a sound knowledge of the sport.

This new position will be reporting to the CEO, and is based in Auckland; details of remuneration and other conditions, etc. will be provided at interview stage.

Please reply in the first instance to daveg@purerecruitment.co.nz, providing details of your previous experience.

Applications close on Monday January 12.
