Former Mt Maunganui, Waikato United, and Wellington United coach Eddie Edge has a new book out - "Life on the Edge"

I haven't read it so can't offer anything by way of a review - I'm not sure Eddie would want me to review it - but did promise I would publicise the fact for him on this new-fangled interweb thingee.

So, it would appear to be large-format (A4) with illustrations, written in conjunction with Wellington's Michael Chadwick.

Copies are $25 and can be ordered from Eddie, 07 5753686.

Or through dolores1@xtra.co.nz

My good deed for the day, don't shoot me I'm only the messenger.

Wonder why he wasn't promoting/flogging it at the WaiBOP v ACFC match Saturday. He was there, wandering about.

^ Guess you didn't have a problem. His book could be a gem. Possibly. Maybe it's a set text at Ole already.

Eddie was selling copies at Cambridge. ...

Suppose I should have taken copies of my "Adventures in Beer" book along to sell, we could have had a little stall.

^ I might bought one at Cambridge. But his (E E's) hands were as empty as my pockets.

On the basis of that, definitely not worth reading then.

Life according to Eddies warped view of things, I can do without.

Love the whack over the head with the umbrella! I can just picture it...

Hopefully that's one of the illustrations.

a lot of the world's most successful people are what normal people call 'warped' - rufer, edge, fallon, etc etc etc - all heavily criticised, but all with a certain something that bought success at one time or another

Some of JV's posts on this forum might indicate a certain warpedness.

ok, so it turns out that $25 gets you part one of four which makes this a $100 'book'

i think i'll settle for living the rest of my life not knowing what eddie edge thinks

I saw him trying to sell them off at the Mount a few weeks ago, looked reasonably small so there's the catch...

hey guys, i deleted this post!

i got the wrong end of the stick thanks to some confusing emails that i received whilst trying to purchase this book which is proving to be quite a difficult and long winded process

the book is $25 as far as i know.  problem is i received an email asking me for $100 to cover the 4 copies.  i assume they have me confused for someone who ordered four copies of the one book
