Sad to see Nick Carle leave the A league. He was a player I
always enjoyed seeing on the pitch. A skillful player but one
who also had that special drive and will to win. I was particularly
hoping to see him against our new side this year. The Jets will
lose more than a player if he goes; it could set them back big
time.
Having said that the boy deserves a chance to play at a higher level.

Has he definitely moved or is it just highly likely?

Overrated player with 1 foot who looks like a gypsy and thinks hes too big for the league. Good riddens

Oh but he was quite good looking!
i'm
sure other women Football supporters thought so too! I know
of a few that thought along the same lines! And he could play
some good football at times. I think he was a bit
inconsistent though

I agree with Carle's opinion on the A-League. Good league, but just
way too short. 21 game seasons aren't adequate for a budding young
Socceroo to keep his fitness up to international standards.
Personally, I believe the first step is to either extend the season
gradually, or have an FA Cup-style tournament.

Nick Carle is a gifted player and I cannot believe that anyone
could deny that!
Glencirbiligi being from Ankara means Nick is at a big city club in a strong league.Amazingly I have one of their shirts in my collection for some reason!
The Turkish Superleague has signed some really top players this year (counting out Roberto Carlos!).

Nick Carle is a great player....but is a traitor to the A-League
for leaving! I thought the idea of creating the A-League was show
young stars that they can play top grade footy in Australia?! So
why has he left and David Carney is on the verge of leaving??
Obviously Carle is doing well enough in the A-League to play for
the Aussie national team, so why leave?? He has years ahead of him
before he thinks about moving to Europe for money.

The A League and the MLS still have some way to go before they can
match major European Leagues. Nick has Turkish ethnic links
so it is not too surprising he has gone there. The team he
has joined are not one of the very top teams in the country but
belong in the top half of the table. He will be hoping for a
UEFA Cup berth in 2009, and hopefully some domestic cup action.
