i was thinking about that, but if there are 11k sold with one day of pre-sales left they must be fairly confident of a full house

also i reckon a lot of people (even non-yet football fans) will be buying a ticket to say "i was there..."

the word is getting out that a football match is the place to be and that (unlike rugby) it isn't better on tv

time will tell

Apparently Fox Sports in Aus had a bit of an item on the 'national mourning' (trade Mark - NZ media) here and one of those asked about how to cope with loss sais:

"Get into other Sports - Attend A Wellington Phoenix game.."

Anyone here ?

TV3 had a report on the "national mourning" after the All Blacks lost. The Vic Uni psychologist (i think) they spoke to suggested it as a cure.

i think they should of made sure they had a full house first or maybe show it on tv to rest of country and not wellington to encourage more locals to get along

This is the chance to show everyone in the country how good the Fever Zone really is.  I will be away, but I am counting on you lot to put in a massive effort to really sell us to the entire population.  When everyone sees the shirts off for the last 10 minutes, I am sure we will become the nations darlings.

2 weeks in Raro. Maybe you wont look as much out of place between Carlton Cole and Nigel Reo Coker after that

If nothing else, the fever zone need to be in the form of our lives for this game - we'll have a packed stadium and free viewing across the country for a game that's being talked up and advertised already with a month and a bit to go before it happens.

NZ fans at the ABs were practically asleep, its time to show the country what REAL support is.

I suspect we'll be out of sorts.  Many of us will give our all on Friday against Adelaide as that is the game that really counts, and be less than 100% against the Galaxy.

Plus we'll have the burden of additional ticketed people in the zone who aren't usually involved to the same extent.

This will give me the opportunity to claim that the FV is nothing without me there, and that you are all a bunch of chockers (might try to rename it as the All Black Fever zone...).  Do you really want to put up with that?

Too true Hard News. This is an exhibition game and while most of the players wil be itching to play I don't think you'll see a 1st XI from the 'Nix out there. And the atmosphere I feel it will be like the sevens crowd, just slightly more sober. You may even find the Fever Zone outnumbered by the hand clapping rugby ites so it could be hard work for the Fever. The game itself may be fairly average as well, due to the 24 hour turn around for the 'Nix, not that I'm knocking it, would love to be there but Number 2 sons 21st prevails. And it's true what they say - no way does the idiot box match the live atmosphere (or a holiday in Rarotonga!).

Does anyone but me find this a bit synical of TVNZ.  They usually want to have nothing to do with NZ Football, and as we all know seem to get a buz out of bagging it.

Also is anyone else worried about the boys playing 180mins of footie on one day?  I sure am.

Maybe, when one of the Galaxy players 'falls over', some sort of "Go back to Hollywood!"?

Wonder if the 'Wellywood vs Hollywood' angle will get used in any of the promotion. Not that I'm saying it should be.
