Anyone else catch this on National radio today? I tried to find a podcast but came up empty. It was on this afternoon and again at about 10:45.

Mora always does a good interview ,I thought Pignata did really well in clarifying the political issues that are causing the Phoenix such difficulties in relation to our ability to continue playing in the Australian football league and the problem relating to lack of a reserve/youth team playing within the NZ football league.
Regarding the issues raised it might be a good idea for supporters to write /e.mail their local Wellington MP's and local body politicians and ask them to support The Wellington Phoenix Football Club in their bid to keep playing in the in the A.League,it means a lot to this town both financially and in respect to football development in the capital.

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

On a related issue, does Wellington Football have access to accurate statistics across all age groups for growth of player numbers here and interest through attendance in Football matches generally, since the inception of the Phoenix?
To support the Phoenix case to remain in the A- League such stats could be valuable and a survey by the Nix to every registered player online might also be interesting.

Adult numbers would be tricky as last year they didn't allow any new sides (although there were a few in the end) so it's hard to say how many would have been added if clubs were allowed to.
They should have junior numbers though you would think.

So reading the last few posts together...
If you're contacting our local politicians about supporting the 'Nix don't forget to ask them to invest in some more grounds so we can grow the f**king game!!
