Rickie should not be National coach and Nix coach. BS for
me as I grow older I am still amazed at how stuipd some people are,
of course Ricki Herbert should stay.
As a line tn the Pink Floyd
(Comfortably Numb) song goes --- just some basic
facts.
Fact one Australia left
the Oceania part of the WCQ as we had no one who could any longer
come near us and that included NZ team. Also the winner of Oceania
playing the lossing nation from South America was way to much to
ask.
Fact two when the Auckland team fell over, the overiding
issue as far as the FFA where concerned ;was that the next NZ team
needed lots of kiwi internationals in it to develop a stronger NZ
team and to develop football in New Zealand.
Ricki is a very good coach, in the Nix he has a number
of national players whom he can groom to play a style for
club and country.
Fact three I guess by now even if informally the NIx
would know of the best talent in NZ, which would be an excellent
lead for a national coach.
Fact four by being at the Nix he spends most of his time
in NZ, believe me this is good news OZ's next coach will be luckly
to spend 6 weeks in Australia.
Final fact if NZ cannot beat the other nations
in Oceania then you have some real worries.
In closing it is not that long ago you lost to Fiji and
had two Auckland clubs go under. Look where you are now, you have
come a long way but it is still very early so to those guys on
Rickies back get off it.
