Something everyone needs to listen to and would be fantastic to have it happen more often.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I enjoyed that. Danny asked a bunch of questions that have been asked on these forums, and Ricki gave good answers to nearly all of them.

I think Danny Hay got pretty well shown up there.  Talking about never playing anything apart from 3-4-3 and not changing and being flexible while ignoring Herbert saying that he played 4 at the back against the Solomons.

Quite an interesting conversation though.

Wow, Danny Hay trying to say Ricki Herbert is untouchable in the media and is not subject to any criticism!?  I don't think I read much on Herbert but criticism.

If you think that's stupid, check out Billy Harris complaining that there's no tabloid-style hate campaign against Ricki.

Great seeing Ricki under the pump. What I would like to hear more of is questions like why you think playing 3 at the back is best for the All Whites. Also questions about in game decisions such as substitutions. Sometimes Ricki's substitution choices leave me wondering.

yep, Danny got made to look fairly ordinary, well, like a Sunday tabloid writer....

Still think the question that needed to be answered is why there was no change at half time or earlier- not after we went down 1-0. We didn't get the early goal, and then we didn't create much- NC looked much more likely. They managed to pass the ball on the pitch, and play the ball around and through our back 3.

Think we did miss leadership on the field, no doubt.

He also didn't ask him about the odd decision to play Killen as a holding midfielder.

Would like to hear Ricki face up to a public questioning, but to a better inquisitor than Danny Hay.

Wouldn't mind hearing someone ask Ricki why he thought we lost, actually. Was clear we weren't dominating the competition with our 1-0 wins and 1-1 draws.

He joined us in the podcast this week. http://yellowfever.podomatic.com/entry/2012-06-18T03_52_48-07_00

Reckon he makes his points much better than in the paper, or on the radio. Do agree with him on a couple of things.

Agree with him in theory, but his points are flawed, as we found out on Radio Sport.

Danny Hay hit Ricki with stats and figures and absolutely ballsed up the three at the back comment. The real questions needed to be around how on most occasions we were clearly the second best team on the paddock.

And those are completely fair questions.

Yeh - does makes his points better on the podcast. But what was playing ugly? We spent the whole time playing long ball, going for early goals and shutting up shop. What would grinding out the wins or playing ugly mean there? I'd say probably not playing Kosta perhaps, and trying to find some more lia like players in the mids...After all we did get Paston kicked out of the tournament. How we're not up in arms out of that I don't know.
