I was merely pointing out that with our two best strikers out
We don't have any strikers.

Specially now Brocks has gone
Leggy still operating under the basis that the more games you played at a high level the wider your knowledge of football. Doesn't he know Pele is thick as fudge.
If that was the case you would know zip ( which is about right) and Bould would be the best. Looks like the pair of you are muppets.
Merrick has added quality players and there is harmony on and off the field, although years of disappointment have left a scar in that self-belief is still not what it could be. This contributes to the phenomenon of a slow starting side that struggles to find rhythm and often waits until the second half to hit top gear. The Phoenix are often like a new team in the second spell - it's as if they need a goal to get them going.
Or until 70+ mins and then Weemac sparks into life.
We've outlasted, shown mental toughness and been lucky.
I had a quick check of our goals and we've scored a fair few in the first half.
One of them was even in the 4th minute...

I think this is the most amount of words you have ever written on here*
(*that I have seen - won't go near the Arsenal thread, I'm sure your all over that one!)
Can you guys lay off the Leggy baiting please. It's two pages of utter tedium. So he likes Malcolmson. So what? Move along.

Yawn.
Though it is a good example of you acting like an idiot and me taking your bs maturely and responding in an intelligent manner.
So yeah, I do suggest people go into that thread.
Like salmon to a fly :)
quality contribution as usual AP.
Children.....
Like salmon to a fly :)
Ha ha AP. Just be careful what you say as Dale will delete it.

Hilarious that you are directing people to that thread.
"Step right up people, here's me making a dick of myself!"
So, how about that Sam Malcomson? He certainly writes about football, doesn't he?
I'd rather read Sam Malcomson than the pathetic baiting of fellow forum users that blights us at times.
Surely you Jest. For one whom has played football at a World Cup Finals, Malcolmson seems to know pretty much frig all about the game or is he just bitter he missed out on something?

I've listened to him a fair bit over the years on Radio Sport and quite enjoy what he has to say. Generally he is not negative I don't think, has an opinion but no one dies as a result of what he says.

Wow: Thriller worthy of a finalMore than 22,000 fans watched the Wellington Phoenix win the most exciting A-league game of the season against the Melbourne Victory. The game was worthy of a title decider -- one of these teams will win the final come May.

His balls.
I bet one of the teams in the top 6 will win the HAL. Top that Sam.
Brace yourself....
Malcolmson has been given the archer from the Herald.
How did you find that out?
I have a little birdie. Michael Burgess and Steve Holloway taking over the Tuesday opinion piece.
Nice
His worst yet. at least the Herald aren't paying him anymore.
right up there with "All Whites these days are too soft because they fly in business class" anyway.
I never thought I would say this but he was correct on a couple of points but a 3 man defence is not the answer either. Wee Mac has been out of sorts lately, Krishna is getting controlled by defenders now (Go on, prove me wrong tomorrow). Siggy, Boxall and Durante are formiddable when playing together but I would still have Fenton at left back. Mannys best days are surely numbered.

You are spot on most of what he said. 3 man defence is not the answer but the other points were OK. Fenton going forward is quick, but he is slow turning.
After all Sam, Danny and Billy should never be allowed an opinion What on earth would they know?
Honestly leggy. Noone said they aren't allowed an opinion. It's what they say that is the issue. If you want to write in a public medium, expect people to question your opinion. The problem is most of their insights are from about 20 years ago. The game has moved on. They haven't.
Very true but I thought a couple of his points were vavalid. Certainly not the three man defence though.

Good to back your own writers, though I suspect it is cost cutting. One suspects that the inside of any newspaper isn't a particularly happy place to work at the moment.
