Anyone read his article today?

Massive non-issues where he whinges about a press release not containing all the information a journalist needs.  Don't be so fucking lazy and do proper research.

I don't know much about journalism, but I'm pretty sure 'Don't piss off the people you want to interview for information' would be one of the first things a young journalist would be taught.

"She confirmed the loss was tied to expenses for international teams, it was budgeted and was always going to come out of the reserves."

Nothing to see here Simon.  Maybe ask Jonathon Millmow for some tips on reporting without fear or favour.

Probably not the best reaction from Van Hattum or Grant, but hard to pass judgement when we haven't heard how the convo went.

Pretty embarassing stuff from Plumb.

The NZF annual report clearly highlights the transfer from reserves so it's not like they were trying to hide anything, just wasn't mentioned in the original press release.

Seems pretty obvious to me that he didn't bother going to the congress otherwise he would have got that info first hand.

I had similar thoughts to the rest of you.  I didn't read it as NZF trying to hide things at all.  I was under the impression that when they put the money in reserve from 2010 this was precisely one of the things NZF said that it would be used for!

To be fair to the OP, I have heard that NZF have told all across the board to slash budgets by 30% so seems they can't live within the means they would like to.

Guess that confeds money was spent after all..
