And even Velaph gets some  from mei, if you want a young keeper to bring through Langerak would be a far superior choice me thinks.

Sterjovski and Burns ?

and indeed

Asian Cup only, they'll have to go on loan in Jan to stay in WC contention.

Generally not a bad team overall, besides a player or 2 I'm not complaining about it.

Archie T and Alex B fighting it out for the A-league attacking 'bolter' for the WC squad. Will be interesting to see what Pim does.

Who would sign them on loan though ?

I wouldn't take them on loan for an NZFC side.

Not sure, Pim said last night on Fox Sports that "if you want to go to the beach until May, that os the player's choice."

Up to the players to get loans he said, he ain't going to assist.

excuse my ignorance but is this a '2nd' string  squad?

Yes.  No first team Europeans basically.

Pim 'could' have called up Kewell and Kennedy but he said 'both are fatigued and I want to let them rest'.

Given the circumstance, I can live with this squad for this game.

A bit of a worry that Pim seems to have picked Heffernan and Kemp as full backs. If they don't get a result this evening it will all come down to the final match against Indonesia in May.

Strange that both these players had a hamstring injury on the weekend?

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Dodgy food on the plance back to Sydney. MVFC players went to Sydney from Kuwait then drove to Newcastle for Sunday's game.

They would be twice as good as NZFC players?
