Basically, being reported in local newspapers, Wairarapa United coach Phil Keinzley says Seule Soromon has the goods to play A-League, and Keinzley says he is doing his best to atleast get Soromon a trial with the Nix.

For those of you who have seen Soromon in action I was just wondering what your opinions on this are and to see if you think he has the goods?

I am just interested to see how people rate him...

35 Goals for Wai United this season, can he make the step up?

Jamie Henders scored 29 for Naenae in the next grade down, in less matches.

They would both need a season in the NZFC to see if he can step up the next level.

Yeah, but he went down quicker than Patricio Almendra.  He'd be crucified in the A-League.

Soromon definately has talent, and if I remember correctly didn't he score against the All Whites?

It's just a huge jump from Capital Prem to the A-League though, and whether he can make the jump is a big question

He's playing in NZFC for TW I think it is this season..

Alex Brosque does it week in and week out.

Who told you that? Ive heard that no Wairarapa players are playing for TW as they cant afford them. Maybe they will turn out for YH Manawatu.

Local rags have been reporting up to eight Wai United players will be in NZFC this year, 5 with TW if I remember correctly.

If it was Times Age I read it in (I cant remember) then I would take it with a grain of salt...

Well I wouldn't beleive it then.

Are any Wai Utd players in the TW squad?

I cannot remember who else they said, apart from Soromon and Rabo.

I also recall them saying Borren in the Youngheart team

Yes but they had the promo game that weekend din't they.

I think this is all completely ridiculous, no-one proves whether they are good, or not good, enugh for the A-League playing in Capital Premier League.  Do your time in the NZFC and you might make the step up.

I'd like to know where the 35 goals came from, he's not listed as scoring that many in the Prem League. I'm guessing it includes pre-season

Normo's coming home

Keinzley wasnt talking about the Nix I dont think. He had a trial over the ditch this year I believe.

"On that note Keinzley also revealed he was "working hard" to get Vanuatu international, Seule Soromon, a trial with the Wellington Phoenix after a season which has seen him score a record 35 goals for the club, and constantly entertain and thrill the veritable army of Wairarapa United supporters with his speed and inventiveness in the process." - Times Age

35 sounds like a stretch to me as well - he wasnt scoring 2 per game in the league. that'll be everything, including hilton petone, chatham cup, indoor and futsal
