Good morning Phoenix fans,

A Boro fan in Wellington here. Having enjoyed two seasons of following the Phoenix I thought I would spread the word back home with this article.

The Boro have a connection with NZ now that Chris Killen is playing, so I think there's a fair bit of interest. Anything to detract from the Championship mediocrity Boro are churning out at the moment.

Some character called Surge has already pointed out my omission in referring to the Cake Tin and not the Ring of Fire. Other than that, hope you enjoy it.

Very nice work libardi.

As an aside there does seem to be a good handful of NE supporters (Toon, SAFC and boro) around at the games/on this site.  I'm surprised at how many Toon shirts I see at matches and last weekend even saw a T shirt professing the owner's Mackem-ness.

Cheers Junior

Wearing other teams' football shirts at games seems odd to me. Wearing Barcodes' shirts is just wrong full stop, especially that yellow number

There were a few tops from all over last week - Perennial strugglers Liverpool, West Ham, Chelsea, Newcastle. Many shades of yellow though

Nice one. The North East teams have certainly been through plenty of lean times

Don't think he actually got any game time at all due to some mix up or other, can't remember why now. Maybe he ate the local Teesside 'delicacy' of a parmo when he was there, resulting in sluggishness, loss of form, you name it, parmos cause it.

Don't you start feeding that to Chris Killen then!!!

Besides that, welcome to the Yellow Fever and a decent article as well.
