Galekovic is the only other keeper that should be condsidered. All the other have had at least one game where they have been pies.

In fear of igniting wellyphoenix, Paston on the bench kills all of Jacobs credibility, Moss was stretching it a wee bit. Of all the a-league keepers there is only Kennedy and maybe Henderson that I wouldn't take as a swap for Paston.

I wouldn't go near Reddy, or van Stratten.

But to say Paston is a worse call than Fyfe ?  Not a chance.

I must admit I was surprised by Pastons selection, more surprised by Moss's however. Paston has probably been the third or fourth best keeper this A-League behind Vukovic and Galekovic Also Paston hasn't made a mistake this season 2ndbest, stupid comment.

That's why you are not a manager of a professional team. Of all starting keepers Vanstratten (Biggest fake in the A-League, worse then Mulligan), Higgins, Kennedy, Henderson, Bolton and normally Velaphi are all clearly inferior to Paston.wellyphoenixfan2009-09-25 21:02:23

That's true, touch wood. Reddy was doing OK too till last week when he predictably proved that he is a disaster waiting to happen. Galekovic? Some fine saves and then last week's gigglefest against Melbourne.
 
Fair, though debatable, call from Jacobs I reckon.

Reddy is always a ticking time bomb. Galekovich is usually the best in the league. Been impressed with Vukovic but he's also prone to brain explosions.

Very surprised to see Moss in there, although he is a very good keeper I don't think he is playing to his potential atm and I think he has been outshone by other keepers so far.

Moss hasn't done anything wrong - he simply doesn't have as much work to do in Melbourne as he did here, so he doesn't stand out as much. But hasn't really done anything wrong.
