But seriously, can we at least get a decent futsal court worked into the redevelopment?
You don't really need 4 pathways for pedestrians in this part of town. I mean, where are all those people in the illustration actually going? Walking between Adelaide Road Maccas and Kent Terrace KFC?
What you need is one decent cycling path for the Newtown hippies and one clearly lit walkway.
How about one futsal court and one basketball court, with some decent seating and solar powered lighting that automatically stays on through the night. From an urban design perspective you need to put in something that is going to attract people into the space.
