Devlin on Sport this weekend carries plenty of football.
Former Tottenham and England star Darren Anderton (aka Sick Note) is on the show. He's just release his autobiograpy and opens up to Martin Devlin about the key moments in his career.
And Jesper Olsen - of Manchester United fame - is also on the show. He talks about his days playing under Flash Ron and gives an insight into the Man U of the day including his thoughts about teammates like Bryan Robson and Mark Hughes and well as explaining what it was like to be in Liverpool's shadow... seems like an age ago!
Olsen is, of course, the Melbourne Heart assistant coach these days so he comments on Sunday's game agaist the Nix as well.
Devlin's show is on RadioLIVE from 2-6pm on Saturday and Sundays.
It's the best national radio show for football. Previous guest have included Glenn Hoddle, Denis Law, Asa Hatford, Nigel Spackman, Graham Rix, Ian Snodin, Dave Beasant, Tony Galvin, Gary Shaw, Mick Channon, Andy Gray, Paul Parker and the commentators Martin Tyler and John Motson.
Go to www.radiolive.co.nz for frequency details.
Up the Nix!

Edit: Best national radio show for ENGLISH football. Need to up the local coverage. Newstalk ZB in Wellington has a great football show dedicated to the local game.

ZB Wellington (Sadly) isn't a national radio show though. Wish it was. Do agree that greater coverage of local football on Devlin's show would also be good, but I really do enjoy the interviews with players from the past. Jasper Olsen interview yesterday was brilliant.
