Expected. I could say that those with their shirts off could do with a little less pies but with the weather that way it was you could do with the extra blubber.

Phoenix don't have any say in the food.  Its the contractors that the Stadium employ.  Talk to them about it!

You get the same food/drink if you go to any event at the stadium.

Any idea who the contractor is? I am not sure if one persons rant will make them change much, I would be hoping that the Phoenix could possibly apply some pressure.

Yea. A bit of variation wouldn't go astray in the food. They used to have pizza a few years back but then they got Fish and chips instead

I can see it now. The Yellow Fever block, splendid in sun hats straight out of Carmen, swigging on a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice and chewing on a carrot chanting,

You could try the American hotdogs, I had one yesterday and I'm pretty sure that there wasn't any meat in it.

In case people have not noticed we are trying to improve the quality of food that kids (and others) eat in NZ. Healthy choices should be there. At present we just have the food that Rugby crowds eat - football crowds are a bit more discerning. Personally I dont buy anything at the stadium; one its a rip off price wise and second they dont sell anything I would actually eat by choice! Even Subway would be an improvement over pies and fries.

I always thought that the difference was that there is so much down time in rugby that you've got plenty of time to go and buy food and beers during the game.

I wouldn't have said football fans are more discerning, they just don't want to miss anything.

Don't bother with stadium food, just load up on tucker at the Backbencher before the match!

I used to be a vegetarian, but the BB's pork with mustard fruits means I can never go back...ever...

That, and with Maria Pia's nearby...

There were jacket potatoes at the Melbourne game, they were pretty good really.
But I haven't seen the potato people since.

Eat beforehand.
