Hey hey, fancy that  . . .

The bond between NZ and Toronto Football begins to grow. . . .  I wonder if the WPFC v Toronto preseason friendly might be a possibility in the future after all. . .

Hopefully phalio will get along for a look and report back with pics or some footage. Reading the report that`s a strange thing about Toronto can reach 40c in the summer and -20c in the winter. Quite a nice city all in all.

Yeah, I hope the Phoenix can play them. It said in the article that the game is 60 minutes ( a "60 minute blowout" or something like that), why not 90?

i'd imagine it is so that the Toronto boys dont burn out...60 minutes coud be the length of one training session for them

It is 90 minutes and we welcome all challengers. If any of you can make it to BMO Field for a TFC home game, you will know the power of the Red Patch Boys.

All kidding aside, it gets up to like 40c in the summer (and pretty humid) and of course freezing cold in January, February.

Toronto FC fans have been lucky since we have had a dedicated few to come up with the chants, organize the road trips, and all and all lay down the rules of acceptable behaviour, given that we will need at least some soccer moms to buy tickets to help support the team.

Toronto is a very diverse city that has been waiting for a chance for a Soccer team since 1994. 2 sections in the Stadia make the atmosphere so you should concentrate on that. 100-300 fans in a 20,000 full stadium do make the difference here.

I hope all goes as well for you as it has in Toronto for our new team.

Let me know when your Jerseys go on sale.

What? You mean no swearing?

Cheers Corcai. We've come up with a few chants so hopefully they will catch on.

Good luck for the game against Houston.

we have swearing in our chants...one of the rules is we totally overwhelm the away supporters with our chants all in good fun....but after the game we'll show them around the city, get a pint...

Hello all,

Great to see this interest in our new club here in Toronto and I am excited to follow the growth and development of Wellington! I hope that this relationship between the two clubs can develop seeing that there are similarities between the two which could hopefully lead to a friendly match some day.

All the best,

- Will
