Sunday Star Times slam Tv 1 1 in their We love/We hate column for not giving any coverage of either  A-league final or Spurs wining in Carling Cup on mondays news bulletin

AGREED!  TV 1 really seem to have a problem with showing football! Why, I wonder?

but then again, the  DST could also lift it's game when it comes to A-league and NZFC coverage

also intriguing to read Billy Harris rabbit on about lack of assists from Danile and Felipe - Daniel came  5th equal in the league for assists only one behind the four players who topped the list with five each - don't be so lazy Mr Harris

Where in the paper was the slamming of TV 1? I must have missed it. Read Billy harris' article thought his call on Daniel was a tad harsh. Something about going down whenever a gust of wind blows

You almost have to wonder if Billy watched the second half of the season (I know he did), because one thing that impressed me most about Daniel was that he cut a lot of that out as the season went on.  It proved to me he was adapting to the league.

If only the refs had realised that.

How's my driving? - Whine here

In their We love/we hate sidebar in the sports section  - as stated in original post  (I was just using a bit of tabloid speak to beat it up )

Billy Harris is a light weight journalist.

He tries to be too clever in his articles. Very little insight or proper analysis.

They should give his column to that mad pom who MC'ed the YF evening. now he's a REAL football fan.

Spurs were on - the A league final was not. A lot of other crappy sport was on to.

Billy harris is just a jealous nearly wanna be. He had good skills as a player but like many before him, he failed at the serious attmept. Ever since he moved onto journalism, I have followed his columns. Yes he does try to be too clever but then the substance of his columns also leaves a lot to be desired. I often find myself wondering what point was he trying to make.

Sadly I think he still believes the Kingz are playing in the NSL. Almost as bad as Sam Malcolmson.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

No I'm pretty sure he was referring to Spurs.

Pffft. . . So says a Millwall Supporter, when did you win promotion to the top tier? in 1987-88? and then had a best finish of 10th there? Still in the middle of league one table now, eh?AllWhitebelievr2008-03-08 03:56:27
