Daniel Finlay has been playing pre-season for the Three Kings 1st team.  Llast week he scored one and then got a brace in a 3 -1 win tonight,  this is after recovering from an injury after being ivolved in beating Waitakere 6 -2 for Waikato FC's youth side.

Nice work Daniel.

In the preseason cup he picked up 4 goals in 5 games.

Dan will be joining the Nix to train in May as part of the YF Youth Scholarship award.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Probably the best thing the YF have organised. Stand proud for coming up with this idea you guys. This scheme may well be the one that really does make a positive difference in some young fellas life.

Fair play to the Nix for supporting us.  We kind of threw it at them at the last minute and they have embraced it despite everything else they've got on their plates at the minute.

Bugger, I'm starting to think the Class of '72 might have had their day (or second in my case).

More good news:

Sloth (whose computer is still bung) tells me that Daniel has been selected for the U19 NZ Secondary Schools team after recent trials in Fielding.
Well done Dan.
