Tells me two things:

1) Tells me how desparate the Highlanders are
2) Tells me they don't have a sh*t show in hell of being decent next year.
oh, and they have Clint Newlands... CLINT NEWLANDS?!?!

Bopman I expected something atleast a little more incisive from you than 'go the chiefs...'

Great to see Danny Lee picking up a contract again too.

Yeah go the chiefs all the way! :) I know that I lived in Auckland my hole life but the chiefs are still my favourite team by far

I went to a Chiefs Vs Blues game once in Hamilton. I wasn't supporting either team that night because none of the Northland lads were playing. However the attitude of the Waikato fans was pathetic. There seemed to be a huge amount of Jerks all around where we were sitting. Now I don't mind a bit of banter at a sports game, I normally enjoy it, but these people were just losers. I accept it was probably just a few idiots but since that night, even though I am at Uni in the Waikato, I support anyone that plays against Waikato or the Chiefs.

Clint Newland plays 2 Air NZ Cup games and ends up with a Super 14 contract. Obviously picked on form...NOT!!! How desperate are the Highlanders. At least they had the sense to grab Johnny Leota and Hayden Triggs. They might actually get some game time. More than they would have with the Hurricanes.
