For me personally, it was a bit sh*t for my own reasons which probably was the reason I had a pretty average attitude to the football season, school (can't wait for exam results 
) and friends. Good points though, included seeing Europe for a month in July. Viewing the World Cup final in a bar full of Dutch and Spanish viewers in southern France was probably one of the biggest highlights.

Feels weird to think this year we've had: Christchurch EQ, The Chilean Miners, Pike, Haiti, World Cup, Samoan Tsunami, Chinese EQ, The Volanco / Ash over Europe, The Oil Spill, WikiLinks, Commonwealth Games
Amongst other things. They all feel like ages ago. (Except maybe Pike)

This years been fun for me personally.. Although as a whole for the world this year has been tragic with so much disasters.. But the All Whites certainly made it that much better!

Sport wise it was great for NZ, in terms of events like the earthquake, plane crash, pike river it was terrible.

2010 for me has been good and bad. Got a promotion to being a manger. Won some lucky money. And then there is the bad stuff, procrastinated all year. Spent far to much money on gambling

One highlight was I got to travel to Tonga and stay there for a while. Nothing on some holiday destinations but I love travelling abroad so I was happy. Also results wise at uni I've done significantly better.
Sportwise it was above average. The All Whites at the World Cup was fantastic while the Phoenix run into the play-offs was great. Though Arsenal's trophy-less season last year coupled with a mediocre Phoenix this season, and Germany missing out at the World Cup made for much disappointment.
In terms of disasters this year's been very nasty. Makes me wonder what will happen next year.

Finished uni, went to SA for the W/Cup, came back to new brilliant job, picked up new Mrs, scored some cool toys through work, epic tour to CHCH for the Nix, at least 2 nights where i've had a beer or 2 with the Nix lads, and am currently spending summer road tripping around the top of the N/Island.
Next year, a year of sweet FA while I try and pay for it all

- SOUTH AFRICA! Pretty much a defining time in my year...actually I'm gonna go ahead and say life. Met new people, didn't have a choice but to put up with them (otherwise seriuosly would have been lonely)
