4th June - anniversary of the Tiananmen massacre
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Interesting read here...During a visit to Hong Kong, December 2005, for the WTO summit, Jens Galschiot received a comprehensive collection of documents about the Tiananmen massacre from the democracy movement. He promised to scan them and put them on his homepage. It has been done and you find the documents on this link - http://www.aidoh.dk/?categoryID=157

 Would it ever happen again?

I get the feeling this might be better suited for ATS.. If you've ever used it, might have interest once you scuffle through the crazy bastards.

Chances are the growing middle class in China will cause the Chinese economy to turn into a more consumer driven market. etc. etc. And they will be able to do it for next to nothing, but the people who will be getting the bad end (lower class) will be able to see first hand of whats happening to them. Getting nothing to produce goods for people paying nothing for the goods in China.. sh*t I don't know if that makes sense.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I would hate to grow up in that country. I won't even visit it on principle and I really want to see the Great Wall amongst other things.

It depresses me.
