Hey
info links:

1976 boycott of the Olympics by 26 African nations because of NZ
Kirk, cancelled tours and Commonwealth games in NZ
NZ divided: Racism at home and abroad

Interesting because this government are children of the 1970s and in some ways wish to go back there. Though where Maori allegiances are is interesting.

Also interesting because of the cultural renaissance that came in the 80s including a wealth of historical research and yep, "the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi".

Some one must be hard at work somewhere comparing racism institutionalised v sensationalised and Facebooked.

Anyway, thought this might be a more information links type thread, seeing we have plenty of opinion columnists on this forum.

And perhaps who are the most well known GGs? And the most celebrated? Can only remember Dame Cath, Sir Paul Reeves, and was it Sir Michael Hardie-boys off the top of the head. And, um, what did they actually do as GGs?
