If you believe that Yellow Fever has 7,500 members then you probably also believe that Ahsan Ali Syed will be giving a press conference next week to announce Hard News as the Nix' latest signing.
If you take away the members who have never actually made a post or who haven't been active in the last year then the figure would be way lower than 7,500.

I was poking around in the back end (ooooerrr) of Fever over the weekend and discovered that there is a function in the forum software to delete members who haven't posted in a given period, or whose login has never been validated.
Tempted I was, but it was a one way ticket so I left it.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

i remember starting this thread http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=12224 over a year ago. 1500 in 15 months. how many of those would be regulars, not many i'd think.

I go thorugh and delete those that have never posted and are over 12 months old every once in a while. WIll probably do so tonight - Monday being my fever night.

I'll say 5000. It is still a sign of how Football is growing here in NZ, as people who have come to love the game in the past couple of years (such as myself) are still joining and becoming a part of this community, rather than it simply being comprised of just the 'hard-core' fans from Year One.

YF (just as a fourm) has been pretty successful. If you compare to similar forums, it has much more use and users than No8.co.nz, which has so much dosh behind it, celebrity endorsements, prime time TVCs. More successful than many other A League club supporter forums.

This x100. There are at least 20 times more posts per day on here than on no8.co.nz, which is even more incredible considering we are in the off-season and they are in the middle of their season.
The closest other A-League forum would probably be the Tards, but when you compare our crowd figures compared to theirs, we have a much higher percentage of supporters on this forum than they do on theirs.
