Good grief, i despise sailing.

That is not real sailing. But doing my first yatching adventure when I was over 50, I really enjoyed it. Jeff and Brandon made for it to be a good day out on Wellington harbour. No noisey boat motor. Quite relaxing.

You can like or not like what you want, I haven't watched a game of rugby in at least ten years yet I consider myself a NZer.

I'm really enjoying the sailing though. And it is real sailing, the boats do have sails after all.

4.5 million people got excited over a series of races between two boats, both skippered by Australians,  one sponsored by a national airline that nothing to do with either "country" being represented, in a race that has been previously won by such great seafaring nations such as Switzerland?

It's actually all Australia's fault - TRUE.  LOL.  1983...then KZ7 86/87...that's when it all started.   1) We thought we could nick a trophy Australia cared about.  2) The nation became mesmerized by Peter Montgomery's voice.
