No, but he is alright. Not sure what a concert would be like. He would be more suited to a day concert in a park. So you can sit and listen.

I really like the track 'I Walked'

Tickets are waaay too dear for Sufjan, but I suppose he's bringing an orchestra or something? I mean I know it's a fairly well known intl act, but Toro y Moi and Capt. Ahab are both from the US and are playing next week for $25 in wgtn

According to people at work who went it was awesome. I've never heard of him so I checked out his music today. Maybe I picked the wrong song, but it was just a really quiet guy singing. I thought he was going to cry.

Went, was visually the best gig I've been to. Also spotted Diego in the crowd.

Yeah light show was good.

I can see why this album has got mixed reviews though.

Backing singers doing crap but a cool dancing - David Byrne's show a couple of years ago Owned this.

Weird Histology music - Done before and by better outfits, see my other post on the music thread, (not the one about knobs and girlies).

Making his voice sound funny - done by everyone

Funny body popping dancing - erm body popping poeple in the 80's.

Ballons and funny costumes - Flaming Lips have it sown up.

It just wasn't as groundbreakingly experimental as he thinks it is. Also he is a friggin dull bloke who needs to shut up and just get on with it. I could have got to bed a lot earlier if he stopped rambling on about stuff.

Saying that the tracks from Illinois was fantastic.

Bonus was that there are far less Hipster people living in Wellington than I thought which means there is hope, we just need to burn down a few coffee shops and we might end up living in a civilized city.

Highlight of the night:  Casimar Pulaski Day and the Opera House staff member removing a lass in a wheelchair on health and safety grounds.

Lowpoint: He never knew when to shut up. If you want to be Kooky and utterly charming go and ask PJ Harvey how to do it.

Yes Kiwi Hatter his brother is in fact Shakin' Stevens, it's a little known fact.

Seriously I've seen both live and I reckon Shaky just shaves it.

Weird thing both gigs had in common? - Issues with Wheelchairs

It was an awesome show, I went at the last minute.
The stuff he was saying was interesting to me, I didn't think he talked too much.

As a friend remarked, reminded me of seeing the Flaming Lips.
