Auckland is a soul-less concrete jungle, nothing but urban sprawl for miles upon end, devoid of charm or character.
That being said, I've had plenty of bloody good times up there thanks to good mates, sports events and a JAFA ex-girlfriend. It is what you make of it. Still wouldn't want to live there though
Shame about the Stars - they outright deserved the booting, but it's not good for the league with Auckland being a pretty good drawcard, I'd rather there be a new Auckland franchise in its place, and when the Stars return they can sod off to Manukau or Waitakere.
