B-70 Valkyrie - An Alternative To Auckland Traffic

Annoyed with Auckland traffic, I typed in fast machines and this is what I got.

The B-70 Valkyrie, six engined jet from the 1960s that did Mach 3.

Only a handful made as 23km up was no longer a match for modern missiles.

Let's be honest, you'd love to go for a blast in a machine like this.

Looks like something out of Thunderbirds. I wonder if they could convert it for passengers?

I had to laught that the first version of this was supposed to be nuclear powered. Imagine that today!!

I read the full article and it was actually very interesting. Thanks for the link. The SR71 though has been clocked faster than Mach 3, Somewhere around Mach 3.2 I believe.
