Media opportunity: Masters take on Apprentices in backyard cricket challenge
The New Zealand and Australian Masters will join forces to take on a team of young cricketers from the Wellington area in a game of backyard cricket in Civic Square, Wellington tomorrow [Thursday 26 February] from 10.30 - 11.15am.
The Masters players, who will play in the NZ v Australia masters game as the curtain raiser to Friday's Twenty20 in Wellington, include Australians Andy Bichel, Darren Lehmann, Greg Blewett and Brad Hogg, along with Paul Wiseman, Bryan Young, Andrew Jones and Stephen Fleming from New Zealand.
The participating players will be available for interviews.
On Friday around 100 youngsters will enjoy a coaching Masterclass with the Masters players from both sides at Wellington College from 10.00am, provding an amazing opportunity to learn from some of the greats of international cricket.
