Oliver Postgate has died. Anyone of a certain age who was bought up in Britain will understand how sad this is.

"But Emily Loved him...."

"Bagpuss, dear Bagpuss,
Old fat furry cat-puss,
Wake up and look at this thing that I bring.

Wake up, be bright,
Be golden and light,
Bagpuss, O hear what I sing."

Bagpuss! The Clangers! Ivor The Engine! Quality television.

It's all Ben 10 these days, kids don't know what they're missing.

**** Launches into "In my day, it was all fields round here......" type rant****

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I have a Mr Ben Mouse Mat somewhere my sis bought me when there was a mini-revival due to a possible film being made a few years ago. (Anyone know what happend to the film?)

Mr Ben and Bagpuss my two favorite shows when I was a kid. Followed by the "Holy Trinity" of Trumpton, Chigley and Camberwick Green.

The of course there was Humphrey's house and Pipkins on ITV.... So many great shows in the 70's.

Humphrey's House? The one with the dog? That was Hector's House wasn't it?

Pipkins! Hartley Hare, the ugliest puppet ever to appear on telly

Was watching a Mr Men DVD with the kids yesterday. Arthur Lowe narrating. Great fun.
