A work colleague actually had a very good one,  both the English and grammer used were pretty good, (a couple of mistakes near the end). The scam was that this Barrister, (their worst mistake), had identified a person recently deceased with the same surname of my colleague and with that my colleague was entitled to his estate. It was actually the best I've seen and I've not nailed it down using snopes or scam hunter either.

Actually Elena (or was it Tatyana?) was very genuine - I was pretty stoked that such an attractive 28 year old neurosurgeon who lived with her frail mother wanted to have a middle-aged married family man as her soul mate.

Just a shame that her visa had problems at the last minute. Never found out if my western union money order got through to her or not.

I hope she and her mum are happy wherever they are.

You might love her now but you just wait until she gets cankles!

As a refugee here I don't have any right or privilege to any thing be it money or whatever due to my refugee status. I have the intention to further my education in your country because I only attended my first year in the university before the tragic incident that leads to my being in this situation occurred.

I have my late father's statement of account and death certificate here with me which I will send to you later, because when he was alive he deposited some amount of money in one of the leading banks in Europe which he used my name as the next of kin, the amount in question is (Four Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars).

As soon as I received your positive response showing your interest to help me, I will put things into action immediately. I will give you the contact of the bank in Europe so that you will contact them immediately for them to transfer the money to your accounts on my behalf.

please this is a legitimate money and the bank is also aware that I am the next of kin to the account because I have send to them the document which I collected from my father's file, and they have also confirmed it and advise me that I should look for someone to help me facilitate the transfer, since I am still in the refugee camp.

Therefore, I will like you to help me to facilitate this transfer and as soon as the fund arrives into your account you will send me some money from it to get my travelling documents and air ticket to come over to meet you. I kept this issue secret because I don't want the people here to know about it. The only person that knows little about this matter is the Reverend because he is like a father to me.

Please I would like you to conceal this issue to yourself and do not disclose my family's political background to anybody around you because I don't want people to be seeing me as fugitive when i come to reside in your country. I will be on my knees in the name of God, not to disclose this secret to anyone until I come to your country after the money had been successfully transferred into your bank account on my behalf.

I want to live in peaceful country where there is no war or problems. I want to have peace of mind and think about the good future waiting for me. This money is my only hope for future survival and I promise to bring happiness and joy in your home.
