Any of you other guys (and girls) watch this show? It's brilliant. For those who don't know, the main guy, Bear Grylls, is dropped into all sorts of different terrains (deserts, mountains, glaciers, rainforests, desert islands) and he has to survive and get away from them. What's more he is armed with only a knife, a flint, and a water bottle.
If you want to read a bit about him, here's a good link (got to love wikipedia aye?) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bear_Grylls
It's on on Tuesday at 7.30pm, on prime (also on Sky TV, not sure when though). On tonights episode he ate a raw snake, inspiring stuff!

the one in the african desert/safari is pretty impressive, eats elephants sh*t and quoted as saying something along the line of "this isn't the nicest of stuff but the nutirtion will help me survive the long days and hot sun"

I did think it was a great show till i read something where he admits most of it is staged and that he seldom sleeps out like it seems on the show

I read about it, and he is usually out there for about a week, so when you see him making a camp and going down to sleep he actually does sleep outdoors, but not when they aren't filming (which makes sense).
Even if it was staged he's still so tough.
My favourite one is when he's dropped 5 miles from a desert island, has to swim their, get food/shelter then make a raft to get off it on. While on the raft he gets bored and has a swim, then he sees a Maco Shark and clambers back onto the raft at an astonishing speed. He then signals a passing ship using the glare from the sun on his knife.
