i agree. i had a week bedridden with a fever two weeks ago. coincedentally the last week of semester where i had 2 50% tests for 2 of my papers. so had to sit them last week with a day to study for each, which pushed back my appointment to get my wisdom teeth out. on wednesday i had 4 wisdom teeth yanked out so now have a jaw the size of american dad, had to come back to work today as i have no money, and a 3000 word assignment due on monday with another test on wednesday. ahhh the sick student life, great times.

I was boasting at work that I hadn't had a sick day off in 2 years. 2 days later, I was in bed all day with a sore throat. People at mky work have been away for up to 2 weeks with it. I got lucky.

oh you poor thing strep throat SUCKS! I got my tonsils out last year after chronic tonsillitis and I haven't really had any colds since, had a few tummy bugs but nothing else. Do you get sore throats often?

Tips -

- vicks vapour rub under your jaw along your glands, helps with the swelling and makes your neck more comfortable

- Gargle soluble dispirins so it sticks on your tonsils

- ibuprofen, that stuff is f**king mint for sore throats.

Can't remember what else I used to do, but boy did I used to get sore throats.

Had my flu shot, been sweet all winter. Loving it. My first year of uni I missed 2 final exams because I was so sick, nearly had to can a trip to Aus to, GO THE FLU SHOT

Last Friday when I woke I felt DIZZY. Thought that's a bit weird... got up and headed for the shower and walked in to the wall three times... then fell over. Laying there I thought "this ain't right".
Rang the GP and they said "mmm that sounds interesting can you get here?"
I did get there but an older neighbour tut tutted me as I went by with a look that said it's far too early in the day for that. (FYI - I don't drink...)

Doc made me do a set of exercises... then announced "that's good , it's not a stroke". F*** ME!!!
Some inner ear thing.... but using the stroke word is not on really. Frightens a young man like me.

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Willy - get Otrivin nasal spray, its been my best friend for years when I get colds.. I think they've just started advertising it on the telly (?). It's the sh*t.

Agree about the Otrivin - clears your nose/sinuses out within about ten seconds. Fantastic stuff. Welcome back Smarah!
