Captain Underpants
Colin the Naughty Puppy
Any of the Fairy stories ("Rachel and Kirsty had a secret. They were friends with the fairies...")

Should keep you going for a while.  Ask a grown-up for help with the big words, or try to sound them out and guess the meaning.

The Aeneid is a good read.  Comprised of 12 (from memory) smaller books.

If your Latin is up to it.

Alternatively there is the more classical Illiad, or for a more contemporary 12 reads - The Dirty Dozen (Commando).

Pretty good read. I enjoy going back and reading the classics. I really liked Frankenstein as well - read them one after the other.

I like Clancy's "techyness".  I personally think his best novel was "Red Storm Rising" - all-out 3rd world war.  Larry Bond novel are very much in the same mold.

How about reprints of war comics (Commando, Air Ace, War & Battle) printed in large format?  I've got 1 for Xmas to add to my collection.

I went to the library and picked up a book called Panicology. About how likely it is things we panic about actually happen.

One of my fav books, Berlin and D-Day by him I didn't enjoy so much. I went to the book fair at TSB this year and stocked up on new (old) books. Picked up some cracking war books written in the 60s and 70s.
I love reading books written on the same part of the war but written at different times, interesting the extra information in books written today that has obviously been de-classified or recently discovered compared to the more personal insights that are fresher in peoples minds.
